Hailed by the New York Times for delivering some of the most memorable catch phrases as “Leon” HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, JB Smoove, will entertain audiences with his unique brand of comedic funk for five hysterical shows at Comix!
A gifted comedian and actor, JB Smoove can be seen as the co-star of Fox TV’s Till Death and recently completed filming a feature length film titled Frankenhood with Charlie Murphy. Smoove also served as a writer and cast member on Saturday Night Live for three seasons (’02-’05) and has appeared on the comedy shows Uptown Comedy Club, Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam, Comic View and It’s Showtime at the Apollo. On Monday, November 30th, Comix rolls out the red carpet for Karith Foster. A self-described Huxtable, Karith is a stand-up comedian and TV & radio personality. She is a national headliner who’s best known for being Don Imus’ sidekick on his nationally syndicated “Imus in the Morning” radio show on WABC Radio- but don’t hold that against her.
Karith has appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, NBC’s Today Show and Last Comic Standing, VH-1’s Best Week Ever, Awesomely Bad… and Black to the Future series. You may have also seen her on BET, BRAVO, and The Fine Living Channel. We hope you didn’t miss her on Showtime at the Apollo (getting applause, not boos) and Skyping with Oprah.
Don’t worry if you did she’ll catch you up on all of that plus- offer her thoughts on interracial dating, dieting, ALL of her friends who are preggers, living in NYC and how could she leave out her evil grandma. Come ready to laugh because FYI, Karith lives by the comic’s law: All’s fair in love and comedy.
